Future proof pre wire
The brief for this project was to provide a prewire design and lighting control system for 3 new build properties. We were initially introduced to the developer to discuss a tender process however after the initial meeting they felt that we had a very good understanding of what they wanted to achieve and awarded us the contract without having to compete against other integrators.

The DETAILS
The developer understandably wanted to keep the lighting circuits to a minimum to reduce the costs of the Creston Equipment. We however felt it would be a shame to limit the number of circuits that the eventual homeowner would have, just because of the budgetary constraint of the developer. With this in mind we carried out the lighting design as we would for any new property but also made suggestions of the circuits that could be rationalized at the lighting control panel.
As a result, individual circuits were run and then many of these were combined into a single controlled circuit at the Crestron dimming modules. This kept the cost down for the developer but maintained the flexibility for the end user to pick and choose which circuits they wanted to operate individually.
